The Journey with Marlena Compston is a further opportunity, in podcast form, to reach those that have experienced trauma and loss in their life. Marlena speaks authentically from her heart, as she shares her own story of childhood trauma that led to depression, anxiety, and near attempts of suicide. She understands the darkness, and how the enemy wants to snuff out the very light within us. God delivered Marlena from her own darkness and past trauma, and then placed a restoration call on her life based on Isaiah 61 to ‘set the captives free’. Her passion is to lead those held captive by their own darkness, and point them to the beautiful grace, mercy, and salvation offered in choosing to have a close relationship with the Trinity: God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Marlena is an author, speaker, podcaster, and evangelist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from the University of Oklahoma. Marlena was formerly a corporate recruiter and HR administrator in the oil and gas industry. She chose to retire from the corporate world to follow the call God placed on her life. Marlena now spends her time writing, podcasting, and staying active on social media to reach the lost and those that need inner healing.

Her next book, ‘Seeking His Wisdom: Inspiration and Instruction for Life’ will be released in 2025. This is a series of three books entitled ‘The Hammock Series’. The last book in the series, ‘From Glory to Glory: The Finale’, is planned to be released in 2026. Each book is written as a devotional journal giving the reader opportunity to read a devotion, answer the questions addressed with each devotion, and then allow space for journaling. It is a wonderful way of getting thoughts from the heart to the page in written form.
